Torte Or Not?

What is the standard wedding cake layers per tier? ! was doing 2 2" layers torted. Do you think that it weakens the cake?Do most people expect this?

Mine are 4" high, 2-2" cakes, each tored and filled

I think most people expect 2 two-inch layers........ unless it's a character cake or a sheet cake, and some like their sheet cakes torted, too.
