Hi there. How long can you freeze an undecorated/unfrosted cake and still have it taste fresh?

TIA.

I talked to a friend about this same thing the other day. She works at a local grocery store bakery. She said that the cakes they get come in frozen ( how long? who knows) and they stay in their freezers for months. So I think that could last a long time if packed good. I think blessBeckybaking has the right idea. thumbs_up.gif

As long as they are well wrapped you can keep them in the freezer for up to one year.
Now having said that some plastic pkg places that shrink wrap state that the contents are good for 2 yrs. I don't have a vaccume sealer.
I usually place several layers on plastic then a double of cheap foil or one layer of the heavy duty foil. You will know the difference of the foil if you have ever used the extra heavy.
Good luck
