I have been looking around for some better deals on Americolor. It seems like I'm always running around to buy these every time I need to do a cake!
I was looking around on eBay and found this auction...

This is for a HUGE bottle of Americolor! Those are hard to find! I emailed the seller and they said that they are going to be listing some other colors as well.
I just wanted to get everyones opinion on this. Good deal? Should I jump on it?
This looks like a good deal. I was trying to find out what other companies would charge for a bottle that size. No luck. abcsugarart.com sells the 4.5 oz. for $4.99. Your shipping should'nt be too high since the auction is in Texas. I'd go for it. ah ha I did a americolor 13.5 oz search and found prices from $10.95 up to $14.95. Looks like that one on Ebay is a good deal. 
Yeah, I wish they would list some more! I'm always having to buy those .75 oz bottles! I can use a whole bottle on some projects!
And Mac, I can't find those in my cake supply stores, just a few places online and like Jo Ann said, they are pricey! Wow, the idea to not have to buy colors for a while interested me!!
It looks like a good deal but I agree with Alracntna..The seller has no feedback and is new..Try buying or bidding on one and if you have no problems...buy more.I'm gonna be watching also as I go through black and red alot!!!
OOOH!!! I'm so excited! I bought one of the bottles and everything is going smoothly so far!! I'm just amazed at these big ole bottles!! They said that it was shipped out today so I'll let everyone knows how this goes! If it does do well, I may order more.
That's the only bad part about being an individual, not always getting great prices like businesses do!

I just have to ask--how about buying 3 of the 4.5 oz. bottles from Cake Central? They're on sale at the moment for $2.99 each, so the cost for 13.5 oz. would be $8.97 plus shipping. I've ordered from CC and they're shipping rates are excellent (the Ebay seller would have charged me over $5 for shipping from TX to OH) and very fast.

You know Rae, I hadn't really thought of that. I was going to stock up with this recent sale but got discouraged when they were always out of stock. I never went back into the store to see when they were re-stocked.
This ebay auction caught my attention b/c of the size, no more little bottles!!! And as far as shipping goes, most auctions on eBay now are Priority mail costs.
And guess what, I ALREADY GOT THIS!! WOW! This place is within Texas so it only took a day!? This bottle is huge! I didn't even know that they had this size! But like I had said, my usual cake place doesn't have a whole bunch anyway.
What a deal! I hope they list some more colors b/c I'm excited! Isn't that funny how a bottle of color could make your day?!
