Solo Filling/how Long Will My Cake Last?

I want to make a cake to take to a dinner party at a friend's for Sat. I was hoping to ice it with BC (I like the BC Dream recipe), and to fill it with canned Solo raspberry filling mixed with BC. The problem is that because of my schedule this week, I would have to bake/ice/decorate on Thurs. Would this be too far ahead of time? I am fearful that this might be pushing it, and that I might just have to scrap the idea all together. Also, I am pretty sure that the Solo filling would not have to be refrigerated, but I was wondering if any of you have any experience with the Solo fillings and could give me some advice. Thanks!
haven't used solo fillings but I don't think thurs is too early esp. if it doesn't have to be refrigerated.
since it is mixed with bc, it will be preserved longer, but personally i would let it sit out for 2 days. maybe one max- because it is still fruit- and that can eventually mold. ...dont know exactly how long the filling will stay fresh but if it was me, i'd refrigerate it. the cake itself will be fine for 2 days and still taste fairly fresh.
Oh I think it probably be fine. I often decorate 2 days ahead. I havent used the solo, but i did buy some thinking i would use it (but I didnt really care for the raspberry) and it seemed pretty thick like it should hold up.
Alternatively I have a good raspberry filling recipe that should hold up for 2 days. You would need to make it up like the night before or something though so it can set up enough.

merissa, thanks for the recipe! I will have to try that, but this time I think I may have to stick with the Solo filling because I am so busy this week. I have tasted the raspberry Solo before and didn't think it was that great by itself, but a couple of weeks ago I made a filling by mixing it with cream cheese and BC and my husband and I thought it was wonderful. That was the reasaon I was hoping to mix it with the BC, and if I left out the cream cheese, maybe it wouldn't need to be refrigerated. I will actually be travelling with this cake (if I decide to do it), and I can't guarantee refrigerator space where I will be going.
