OK

go to galleries button above
click on upload picture icon
click on the album of which you want to put cake
click on the browse button
find the picture you want on your computer
click open
when you get back to CC area fill in information you want (i.e. title of cake
picture description etc)
click on upload

you should be ok from there.... if it doesnt work let us know...

Okay this was an old post I made and have finally managed to load my pictures onto my computer. Now I want to load them onto CC site but am having difficulty. I read the point of clicking upload pictures and then I get a message saying my photo is too large. How do I shrink it to post it? Can anyone help me. I really want to upload some of my cakes. Would very much like to get some critic from my fellow CCers. Hope someone can walk me through this.

your photos have to be less than 1 MB (maybe 1.2?). do you have photoshop or other photo program on your computer? you can resize them there. if you don't, i think there is a free website you can go to, but i can't remember what it is... maybe someone else can help. otherwise, email them to me and i will resize them for you and email them back!

oh the left side of the screen under My Account go down to my photos and click on that. once in their you will see a button that says to upload pictures. click on that choose an album for your picture click browse to find the picture from your computer and then you have to click the I agree button at the bottom.

hopefully this will help. good luck and I can't wait to see your cakes

p.s when I uploaded my pictures the way I just told you about I didn't have to resize them but If I want to add a picture as an attachment to a post then it has to be a certain size and I have yet to figure out how to resize that small icon_lol.gif

good luck. pm me if you need help

You can even resize your photos in paintshop pro. If you don't see "resize", then you need to pick "stretch and skew". Make sure you change the percentage in both spots. So applications do it automatically and some don't. So, just watch for that. I usually resize to 40% or 35%.

If you have IrfanView in your computer...you go to file at the top left....find the picture in your computer you want...click on it...go to image at the top of the screen and click on it ..go down to resize and click on it...then on the right of that square you find different sizes..if you click on the 600x800 it makes the picture the right size to post. It really is easy once you have done it a few times.
