Do you mean the list of items to bring to Lesson 1? Or the list of supplies needed for the class in general?

This is the list I give my students for Lesson 1. You may not need all of the things on the list as I teach all of the fondant rose in lesson 1.

Course 3 Reminder!
Please bring the following things to Lesson 1:

* Class Registration Receipt (unless they keep it at the register)
* Buttercream icing 1 recipe class buttercream:
- 1/2 cup thin consistency icing
- 1 1/2 cups medium consistency icing
- 1/2 cup medium consistency icing with 1/4tsp piping gel added.
- 1/2 cup stiff consistency icing

* Practice Board Set (including plastic stand)
* Decorating bags of choice (parchment, plastic disposable or featherweight)
* Tips 1, 2, 3, 5, 16, 18, 86, 104, and 127 (I would bring the tips from all 3 kits just to be safe.)
* Couplers
* Small Spatula (straight or angled)

The following items will be needed to make the Fondant Rose:

* 1 24oz box of Wilton Fondant
* Gum-Tex packet (C3 Kit)
* Blossom Cutters (C3 Kit)
* Leaf Cutter (C3 Kit)
* Ball and Veining Tool (C3 Kit)
* Thick and Thin Foam Squares (C3 Kit)
* Quick ease Roller or Rolling Pin
* Tapered spatula or small knife
* Shortening (2 Tablespoons)
* Toothpicks
* Plastic Ziploc/Glad Bags (at least 3)
* Ruler
* Decorating Brush
* Clear Vanilla
* Disposable Foam Cup
* Dusting Puff (I will bring for you)
* Knife
* Styrofoam Block

Tools from your kitchen:
By this time you know what items you find useful to bring to class, so bring what works for you. The below are some reminders of things you may need to use while in class.

Apron (optional)
Tape
Damp Cloth or sponge
Note pad and pencil/pen
Scissors
Toothpicks
Plastic bag to take home decorating tools used in class

This is also the Shopping list (of Wilton Supplies) that I have handed out to my students:

Shopping list for Course 3:

Required:
Course 3 Kit
2 24oz Boxes or 1 5lb Box
of Wilton Rolled Fondant
Piping Gel

Recommended:
Tips #2 and #103
Quick Ease Roller

Optional:

TexasSugar, do we really need to use Wilton's fondant or can we bring our own?

I would ask your instructor their thoughts on it. I prefer my students to use the Wilton fondant, espeically if they have never worked with fondant before, and most of mine haven't. If you have never used it you do not know what the consistancy should feel like.

Plus I have not made MMF or other fondants and if they have a problem with it I would not be able to really help fix it. I do let them know there are other fondants out there, and do give them the Wilton Homemade Recipe in Lesson 2. Outside out class they can make what ever recipe they want, but in class I want everyone to be on the same playing field and using the same thing. icon_smile.gif
