How Much Lorann?

I bought my first Lorann flavoring today. The bottles are sooooo tiny! I'm assuming it is way strong! How much of this stuff does it take to flavor the typical buttercream recipe made with a cup or so of fat 2 pounds of powdered sugar?

It is about 10 drops or about a 1 tsp per batch. I would add, mix then taste to see if you want it more stronger or to leave it alone.

Actually I would start with about 1/2 a tsp and go from there. Some of the flavors are richer than others so you don't even need a full tsp.

Thanks. I'm going to probably start with the champagne flavor. That's the way I'd do it the first time. I was hoping to learn I could expect to get more than a cake out of those little bottles! icon_smile.gif

Reporting back in. I used the whole bottle on a batch of Tami's Perfect Buttercream (the size that uses two pounds of sugar). I started with a quarter teaspoon at a time and before you know it...it was all gone. I wanted a definite flavor, not just a hint. I guess that's not bad, considering how expensive flavorings are in the supermarket these days. I can get Lorann locally and don't have to pay shipping, so it cost me $1.39 to flavor that batch. The good thing is...it's perfect for the intended purpose.
