I use the cake mix doctor to fix my cakes up. I have never used this on a chocolate cake, I am wondering first can you use it on a chocolate cake and has anyone else ever used it. If this is not a good method does anyone have a good chocolate birthday style cake recipe that they would share with me. You can post it or pm me. Thank you so much for any info you can share.

I don't know which dr. recipe you are using, but the one I use, you add 3 TBSP cocoa powder to the recipe when making a chocolate cake mix. HTH

1 cake mix
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
pinch salt
1 cup melted butter or marg
1 cup sour cream
1/3 cup water
1/4 cup milk
3 eggs
1tsp vanilla
*3 Tbsp cocoa powder for chocolate cake

melissa, what size pan and/or how many cake pans will this recipe fill? (i.e. one 11x15 or two 10" round, etc?)
