Does anybody know if you caouls ice and decorate an angel food cake like a regular cake? I think I t would taste good but would It collapse?

I had a piece from a bakery in another state. It was just iced, not decorated. It sure was yummy. The angel food cake had a strawberry flavor and was pink. I wish I could remember what the icing tasted like.

that sounds so good.. also I think because angel food cake is lower in fat that it would be slightly better for you... maybe I'll try one.. I hate to try stuff w/o asking on here first .. it keeps costs down in case I have a flop

sure you can it is very sturdy once baked not suitable for a teired cake I would think though

you may want to fill the hole in the middle with something to decorate like a reg cake

pudding or pie fillings works

You can make them in a loaf pan too..... and I have heard in a regular oblong cake pan too, but I have never tried those..... the Loaf pan I know works.......

Gee, I don't know Missey..... I would doubt that the sides would be high enough........ only one way to find out though LOL! Mistakes really taste GOOD ! icon_lol.gif
