What do you do with your modeled figures who "don't make the cut" for cakes?? I can hardly stand to throw out the figures...I have fairies, unicorns and polar bears..not worthy of cakes but I must be sick...I can't throw them out...they are adorning my cake stands, flower pots and hanging over bookcases......I know they keep, but....
Anyone else that these "issues"?? ![]()

I don't do modeled figures myself, but my daughter does, and I keep everything! It's like when she was small and I saved her drawings. I have plastic containers stacked with little flawed heads, and legs that didn't make the cut! I keep the flawed finished figures in a curio cabinet! I occasionally think about throwing them out, but doubt I ever will. She thinks I'm crazy, and I guess I am!
Argh! Even worse is full on dummy cakes. the one I made for a competition I kept for about six months before I couldn't bear the dust on it any longer - it was too fiddly to dust. I had to march it to the dustbin and dump it as quick as possible so I didn't have time to stop myself. Heartbreaking!
i have the same problem. Esp. when I make too much of something, like a candy cane or that and I think well if i store in plastic bag and container I can use it later. I must be ill. ![]()
