I know there was a thread on this before that I even posted in but I cannot find it. I just wanted to say to those of you who haven't tried it or are looking for a good, not sweet buttercream, this is it! I made it today and it is soooo good! Hardly sweet at all. I tried three different ones that were all good and less sweet than normal buttercream but this one was the best. I am waiting to use it on a practice cake, thawing now so I don't know how it pipes. Sister, who posted it, said you can use it for flowers. It doesn't have a thick consistency, I suppose you could add more sugar if you thought it was necessary (I may in the future just as a test) but the taste is terrific. I'm going to see about adding some cocoa to it (another time). Yum ,yum, yum! ![]()

Sounds good! Thanks for the post. I will try the Bakers Buttercream.
I used it on my last cake and yes it tastes great, I agree, but it must be very cold, if not, partially frozen or it is to soft to decorate with. It does firm up nicely when the cake is place in fridge for 10 minutes or so.
Anyone else used this recipe yet? There are 14 votes for it so I'm just wondering....
Also, has anyone piped with it?
Tripletmom, if you look at my blues clues cake I used the baker's buttercream for it everything except for the fbt but I'm sure I could have made it with that too.
