I refuse to do a square or rectangle shape cake because I can't get the corners to look good. The cake is always smaller on the corners than on the sides. Do I need to buy better pans? Thanks for any help you can give me.

Magic Line pans have actual square corners instead of rounded off corners like in the Wilton pans. I have seen people square off even those, just building up icing, but it takes some practice. This is a tutorial under the articles on this site by B Keith. It might help.

Good luck!

Thanks to both of you, I'll buy the pans and try that technique.
