Our house burned down 2/9/06 and I have LOST all of my cake stuff. You know, you really don't realize all the cake things you have and the amount of money put into all your tips, colors, pans, and ect until something like this happens. We are having to write every little thing down for insurance purposes. I had two cakes I was suppose to do coming up and I had to call and cancel those. As of right now, cake pans and cake supplies are out of reach until we get our home supplies back together again. I didn't even get to up load my last four cake pictures. I lost my camera too. icon_sad.gif Well, I know that we are greatful that we were not at home whenever it happened and we have each other and that is all that matters right now.
Please just keep me and my family in your prayers. We don't know where the path is leading us right now, but we are trusting in the Lord and just following him day by day.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I've been lucky my whole life, but I've had a few friends who've suffered through house fires. It's devastating, and you don't really realize how much you have until it's gone. At least everyone is ok. Good luck with the road ahead.

It was an electric fire that started in the wall of the kitchen. We pretty much lost everything but the clothes on our back. Monday was my first day back at work and I still have tons of things to do- filling out paperwork for insurance and more.

icon_sad.gif So very sorry for your loss!!! My brother's house just burned two months ago. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I do have an extra Toba Garrett, Well Decorated Cake book. I ordered two by accident. I know it won't help much, but you do have to start back building your cake supplies somewhere. Just shoot me an address if you like and I'll ship it to you. icon_smile.gif

You know, come to think of it...I'm certain I have some duplicate tips and extra stuff my husband would be thrilled to see out of the house. I'd be happy to send it your way, if it would help.

Just send me an address.

Wow - I am so sorry to hear that. Fire has always been my hugest fear (you should see me bake cakes using those bake-even strips...I swear I check the oven to make sure there are no flames at least once every 2 minutes!)

I have an extra Wilton supply caddy that I've been wondering what to do with - I'll be so glad to send it to you if you'll send me an address.

I can truly sympathize with your loss, I lost a niece and nephew 9 and 12 years old to a dreadful housefire in W. Virginia about two years ago. And as hard as things are, you did escape with the most valuable thing that cannot be replaced. God Bless and you are in our prayers!
