If anyone wouldn't mind looking at the Baptism cake in my photos, I am curious what you would have charged. I am terrible about under pricing. I charged the customer $60. It is a single layer 11 x15, half chocolate, half white (wasc recipes), no filling. Also, the poem is an edible image. All the decorations are fondant, iced in buttercream. Thanks in advance.

That cake is very pretty! Here's how I price my cakes, but prices do vary depending on what part of the country you're in. For an 11x15 cake, iced, with a border & including any writing, I charge $35. Edible images are $5-$10 each, depending on the size. (I would have charged $5 for the one on your cake) Anything fondant just depends on what it is I'm making. I would have charged $5 each for the sheep & angels you made, $5 total for the shamrocks & cross & $10 for the baby/cradle. That would be a total of $75. You do excellent work. If other bakeries in your area are charging more that you are, I say to raise your price a little. Your work is worth it!!

Thank you. I charged $40 for the 11 x 15 plus $5 for the image plus a total of $15 for the fondant/fondant work. A lot of hours into researching the design and making the characters. As I get better at it, it will go faster and make my actual work time less. I know prices vary where you live but I was curious how far off I was in general. Thanks to both of you for your input.
