You can think, better yet know, that he will come back safe and sound. You can send him yummy treats while he is there. You can be there for your BF while he deals with his dad being gone. You can plan a great cake for the party when he comes home!

Take advantage of the time you have with him, make it all count!
And yes you can definetely send all kinds of treats for him to enjoy!

MY DH and I are both former Marines and unfortunantly this is part of the gig. Even when out of the military if you had a very special job as a specialty when in they can call you back.

I have friends over there too, most have come back home and a few were not so lucky. There is really nothing you can do but pray for his safe return as well as the others serving. Write letters and send emails frequently too. Unfortunantly, we never see the good news that happens just the bad. I have friends that have helped to re-build schools and feed the starving yet no one ever hears of this.

I know that anyone going to war is tuff, trust me and any other military member when they say that. Keep your faith and stay positive. PM me when he deploys and I will add him to the military prayer list. Best wishes!---melissa

Here! Here! It's amazing how different the mind set of the American people was when the media wasn't allowed to report ALOT of the things that they deem "need to know" now!

yes it's unfortunate...so many of our soldiers are over there...both male and female...that have so much good...most american's don't even know what it was trully like over there...i know some...but do not know all...i do not want to know all...but we should be proud of those that keep our freedoms free...and stop bashing someone who only thinks he's doing what right for his country...whether u like him or not...he's our commander in chief...we all should be greatful...that we don't have dictators like hussein...castro...and so many others...
