I'm planning to make cupcakes out of this recipe and I have a couple of questions.

1. What is dream whip powder what aisle is it in at the grocery store?
2. Do I use the big box of vanilla pudding or the small box?
3. What kind of filling would go good with this recipe?

I just started out with cakes and these cupcakes are for my Wilton I class so I'd appreciate any help y'all could give me.

dream whip is typically with the baking stuff....white box with blue writing on it. I usually find in on the top shelf in all the stores.....believe it is normally close to the pudding mixes

Dream Whip is usually with the cake mixes/pudding mixes and in all of the stores here it is on the top shelf--look for a blue and white box.

The pudding mix I use for mine is the small box.

I don't use fillling in my dreamcycle cake so can't help there.

Since you're already going to be in the baking aisle...

Canned pie filling works great for cake filling and doesn't usually require refrigeration.

For this cake, perhaps lemon filling.

I've made this cake four times (just finished one yesterday for my step-sons birthday) and I use a Orange Cream Filling (from scratch) and everyone loves it. Then I top it with whipped cream. It really is like the old Dreamcycles

Okay I searched high and low for the Dream Whip powder and couldn't find it! We only have H.E.B's and Wal-Marts and neither one had it. There wasn't even an empty spot on the shelf where it might have been. I don't think I could have missed it because I spent 30 minutes in the baking aisle searching for it.

Couldn't she just use the Whipped Icing Topping that Wilton sells (or maybe the stores around her carry some other brand of whipped topping mix)? Really that's all Dream Whip is is whippind topping mix. She would just have to change the quantites because the Dream Whip package is 1.3 oz. of powder.

At my walmart it is with the puddings and gelatin, did you check there??

I used orange buttercream to fill cupcakes with when I made a dreamcycle cake.
