Hi.. my name is Jeanne and I am a newbie to the site. I have been reading for about a week and I am simply amazed at all the wonderful people here willing to share their year of decorating experience with all of us new to the art. I have been decorating cakes since my daughter was born 6 years ago. Not often.. a few cakes a year maybe.. but I really love to do it and I am finally getting serious about it. I am working on getting my cake, filling, and frosting recipes together (not so good for the midsection, but oh so good for the soul icon_wink.gif ). I need a lot more practice, but I am excited to start. I'll have to figure out how to upload pictures and all of that so I can share my cake fumblings with you all. I aspire to be as good as some of the pictures I have seen in the galleries here and gumpaste flowers are on the top of my list of things to take a crack at.

I just wanted to say hi and stop peeking in on you all unannounced. I look forward to soaking up knowledge.

I also was a "lurker". I found this site several months ago and have become addicted. I've learned so much from looking at all the gallery pictures and from advice on the forums. I decided a week or so ago to upload some pictures but they look so BAD compared to others on this site. I aspire to be HALF as good as most of you!
