So....such a bad night for baking and stuff....I melted 3 sticks of butter all over my microwave (2 at one point, 1 later)...ran out of sugar...TWICE! (For some reason, I forgot I was doubling the recipe.....) The first time, I was short by a couple of tablespoons...so I had DH run across the hall to "borrow" some sugar....she gave him the bag....and I sent it back minus a few tablespoons...then remembered the doubling part! Ugh.
I set out 7 eggs when I needed 6. (Thankfully, I caught that and put one back.) I spilled flour into the jar of cinnamon. I added a cup of butter instead of 3/4 cup to one recipe.....caught that too so adjusted for the second and mixed the two together. Tore a hole in the cake flipping it out (used 3 flower nails as it's an 11x15). Will patch that with icing as it's not a huge hole. Got red coloring everywhere (it's a red velvet cake).
I think that's it. It's just not my night.....hopefully when I ice and decorate tomorrow night, there will be no more issues! *knocks on wood*

Sorry you are having such a rough night. I had one of those the other day and got so mad at the cake, I threw it down the garbage disposal!
