Luster Dust Pearls/ Bubbles???

I have to make one of those baby in a wash tub cakes next week. Is there any way to luster dust the little fondant balls quickly? Or do I have to paint each and evry one? icon_cry.gif

Please tell me there is a quick way to do this...

Hi there, relax there is a very easy way to do the "bubbles" use the same technique as for making pearls.

Basically you roll them into balls, the size you need them, you don't have to be real precise with bubbles so the don't have to all be exactly the same size, then place them on something soft, i use a piece of foam from the craft store so they don't flatten till they're dry enough to handle,a few hours) then put them into to a tupperware with a little bit of the pearl dust and shake em' around, and your done!!

Do you need you use aclohol or an extract.like with painting with luster dusts?

When you paint with it, yes you mix it with a clear alcohol. But you don't always have to paint. The technique that karmicflower suggested actually just uses the dust dry. It really all depends on the look you are going for. In your case, what karmicflower suggested is perfect! thumbs_up.gif
