how can u tell when your dump cake is ready
the cake is really mushy should the cake firm up
are u suppose to cut or spoon the cake out the bunt pan?
ok 3mins left for cake to finished baking help
bunt pan i di not have yellow cake mixed so i used white cake mixed
the cake have cooked longer thatn 45mins so far
i dumped in in.
so the calke will not come out like a regular bunt cake would right?
whoo boy! I've made it seems like hundreds of these to feed hungry HS play cast members and show how to do a demo speech.
(one year the volleyball ladies beat off the soccer guys to get the last cake of the day!)
done when:
it smells right (with practice you'll just know --- and so did the whole school - a runnin' they'd come)
and top looks nicely golden brown with a "crusty" look and feel.
(chocolate ones much harder to tell)
fresh from oven, will be soft and H O T -- that filling will burn you!
let sit at least 10 minutes to firm up and cool a bit.
then serve ala mode if possible!
some variations I do (mix/filling)
French vanilla/apple
French vanilla/cherry
chocolate/cherry
spice/apple
French vanilla/peach
chocolate/blueberry
chocolate/strawberry
banana/strawberry
ok the cake is pretty good, next time i will use a 9x13 pan i plan on making this and taking it to work tomorrow
Hi Jax,
Not a stupid question at all. Here is a recipe most people use, including myself. So easy and very good. This was posted by gilson6 in the recipe files. ![]()
