Some of you know that I'm in the process of making a cake for my daughter's birthday and in order for me to judge whether or not I'll have enough time to decorate it, would it be easier for me to make the cake tonight, freeze it, then decorate tomorrow or wait to decorate on Sunday? I'm just worried that I won't have enough time to decorate it on Sunday.
If I was to decorate it tomorrow, what would be the easiest way of storing the cake until Sunday?

if you bake it today and decorate tomorrow, there is no need to freeze it. Personally I would bake it, stack it, and put on a crumb coat. I invert a plastic box over it just to keep nosy family members (of the two and four elgged variety) from checking it out. then ice and decorate tomorrow, and same thing - invert the box over it until sunday,

i agree, bake tonight, let it cool overnight, and tomorrow ice and decorate. if you didn't use any fillings that need refrigeration, then it'll be fine on the counter for a couple days. i also just cover with my cake caddy, or in cake boxes, whatever fits. just keeps dust, and possible bugs off of it.

Ditto on both of the above for me. I always bake my cake the day before I decorate it, just to make sure it has time to rest and all that fun stuff. I crumb coat also the night before if the decorations are alot or will take me some time. Otherwise, I just store the cake under a cover and then crumb coat and wait about 15 mins then start decorating. Then I usually store in the fridge until the day of the party in a box!

HTH!
