I was at JoAnn's, and they were all 30% off, plus I get 15% for being an instructor there, and I just couldn't resist. They were all summer and spring cutters, which I don't have any. I guess I'll make up a batch of No Fails to try them all out! Can't hurt the portfolio right?

No fair. LOL! My JoAnn's never has any cookie cutters. There might be 10 different designs and they are the plastic kind that I don't particularly like. Wah!

Awesome buy though. Maybe I just need to go to the store more often. thumbs_up.gif

While we are talking about cookie cutters, what are the best type? I've seen metal, plastic, etc. I bought a set of Wilton Easter designs and thought I would give cookie making a try.

I like the metal ones better than the plastic ones. They give you a much cleaner cut, IMO. I do have some plastic ones that I was given when dh's grandma passed away, and I use them sometimes, but prefer the metal ones.

I agree with jen1977. Metal are great, copper are even better (and much more expensive as well!), but plastic work and get the job done. thumbs_up.gif

I have all sorts. Before I got into cookies here, I bought the 101 cookie cutters in a set--plastic and they work well for the kids' cookies. 'course that was before I discovered(singlehandedly--lol) cc and the baking shop down the street.

I bought 17 today!!!
The JoAnn's here has very little inventory of cutters. They usually just have whatever holiday is coming up..so now they have Easter cutters. I prefer the metal ones myself...much better cut with them, but if I have a design I like in plastic I use it too!
