There is a 50 percent off coupon in the Michael's ad today. It is good for today and tomorrow only. There is also a 40 percent off coupon that is good Tuesday-Saturday.
Hobby Lobby has a 40 percent off coupon this week. It is in their ad or you can get it online.
Just another little tidbit that I discovered last week, Michael's will honor Hobby Lobby coupons!!! They don't really advertise it, but they will.
Hobby Lobby has 1/3 off light boxes and projectors. Does anyone use one of these for copying pictures onto cakes???
Cindy
I find a light box very useful when making frozen buttercream transfers. Creating the transfer on top of the lighted surface eliminates the shadows that you get from overhead light. You'll find that you fill in better and don't have to do many touch ups later!!
Last week with the 40% coupon I bought the cheap Projecta Scope from their art department. Price was like $22-$23 and I got @$9 off. Just to try to use it somehow for images on cakes. I have my own light boxes that I built myself, but I didn't think to do trasfers that way.
1/3 off AND a 40% coupon on the projectors? that would be nice.
Our Michael's will accept the Hobby Lobby coupon that's in the newspaper, but NOT the ones that are printed from HL's website. So, I'll just print out some to use at HL, and take the newspaper one to Michael's, LOL!
Not sure if that's the policy other places, but you might want to check before you use the newspaper one at HL!
Laura.
My Michaels will accept the printed coupons. They also except the ads from Hobby Lobby, so I used last weeks to buy my Wilton stuff there. Since I teach at Michael's and am in there all the time, I'd rather spend my money there than make a trip to Hobby Lobby. Plus Michaels here carries more than Hobby Lobby does.
I do think though it can depend on the store and their policies.
