Help!!! Baking Soda

I see emergency replacements for baking POWDER.....but there isn;t one for baking SODA......is there icon_cry.gificon_cry.gificon_cry.gif I've already mixed up most of my batch and I have no baking soda!!!!!!

According to this article--theoretically you could substitute baking powder for the soda, but I wouldn't guarantee the results.

thank you so much....looks like I have to dump this batch, run to the store and start over!!!!

Anyone want to watch the twins while I run?? Thats the hassle...loading up the boys!!

You shouldn't have to dump it. The baking soda reacting is the reason cake mix has to be baked as soon as possible after mixing.
