Best Crumb Coat For Mud Cake?

Any advice about the best crumb coat for a mud cake before covering with fondant?

I'm not sure what a "mud" cake it. Is it like a dense chocolate? (that sounds "muddy" to me. lol!)

If so, you could crumb coat it with a thin layer of bc.

Welcome to Cake Central J9. I can't sanswer your question, but there is a lady on this site from Australia who makes mudcakes. Maybe she can answer your question. I will try to find her profile and get you a link to pm her for more info. I have gotten some of her recipes from this site and they sound heavenly!!

If you pm Boonenati, I would imagine she can help with all your questions about mudcakes. She even had a couple of recipes posted on this site for mudcakes. Hope this helps.
