Hello everyone I need help! I have had previous success making and covering my cakes in MMF. The last batch I made was bad!!!!

It had sugar lumps, which I could fix
It started to form air bubbles
It was extremly soft, too thin to stretch over cake

I found online that if you use too much crisco it could make it too soft and it depends on temp. I also didn't let it sit overnight like I normally do.

Please help!!!!!!!!!!!!!

you could try adding gumpaste to it . Either make a batch or I've just added a couple of tablespoons of gumpaste powder to my batch of MMF to get it stiffer. I always let mine sit overnight, so that might be some of the problem. Good luck! icon_smile.gif

I have had this happen twice with my MMF. I do the same thing each time. I always use the same amount of crisco. I ended up tossing mine! I don't know what happens either.
