Is it possible to ship a cake to South America??? If so, how???
Has anyone shipped a cake somewhere? How did you do it (packaging, carrier, etc...)????
I'd like to send a cake for my niece's birthday, but don't even know if it's possible. She lives in Brazil.
Thanks guys!!!
I won't say yo can't. You can ship it if you want, however, the chances of it staying in the upright position are slim to none. When I worked in shipping, the worst thing you could do is right fragile, or this side up on a box. Because that more or less made sure the people handeling it would NOT do what you want them to do. The drivers told me that.
Besides that, it can sometimes take weeks to get to the destination, and by then, it may be unrecognizable.
Can you ship cookies? Cookies travel well.
I am not sure about a cake. It would have to be a very dense cake with very little frosting. I remember my grandmother shipping us a lamb cake for Easter every year, but it was very dense and dry.
