I went to Walmart and was so tempted to buy the Airbrush I saw discussed here. But, I would like a little info first. I know that set has paints for doing model cars (which will be thrown out). Here is my question: Will I need to get more of those little bottles to attach to the airbrush or is there a reservoire on the airbrush that I add my Americolor directly into?
Also, do you have to mix the colors with extract or alcohol before you use it in the airbrush?

I know this sounds stupid.....sorry..

I'm bumping myself....Anyone? I would really like to get this airbrush today, so I can play with it this weekend, but am wondering if I will need to get some extra stuff to go with it in order to use it.

We had an airbrush from Walmart before we got the airmaster. Extra bottles are nice. That way you don't have to keep cleaning them every time you change colors. We have only ever used americolor airbrush colors which you don't add anything to them. I don't know if it's possible to use the gel colors, I don't think so but I could be wrong. Wouldn't be the first time, LOL.

I would HIGHLY recommend using only Airbrush Colors in your Airbrush.

It IS possible to mix the colors yourself, but I would advice against it, especially for a newbie to the airbrush. When you mix your own airbrush colors you have to get it just right, too thick and it will clog your airbrush, to thin and it will look watered down.

HTH!

Thanks so much for the information. I haven't gotten it yet. I think I am going to check one other airbrush and make a decision.
