I have a square tiered cake due in two days and the colors are ivory and latte. The bottom and top tiers will be latte and the middle tier will be ivory with a mmf ivory bow on top and draping down the cake.
My problem is I got a little "color happy" and added too many drops of americolor ivory to the mmf and now I have dark ivory mmf! icon_sad.gif I'm afraid this will not work with the latte color(not be enough of a contrast). Is there an easy fix to make this a lighter Ivory without having to remake another batch of mmf? I'm running out of time and HAVE to make this bow tonight for it to harden in time!!! icon_cry.gificon_cry.gif Please help. TIA!!

The only thing I can think of is to make the small batch of white MMF and add enough to lighten the ivory.

I agree with newtodecorating. Instead of having to make a whole new big batch of MMF, adding a smaller white batch to the dark ivory should work. Let us know!

You can try to knead in little bit of white-white color gel to the dark ivory. It may lighten the color somewhat.

I agree with you guys too.I had some light brown gumpaste-fondant mix and needed like a beige/cream color.Just kneaded some white fondant and it worked perfectly.
