Everytime I make a pound cake it seems to stick to the pan. Any ideas why? or what I could do?

I usually coat my pan with crisco and flour. I guess I could try parchment rounds, but sometimes the sides stick too!

Are you removing the cake/s after 15 minutes, or letting them cool in pan- if so the grease can get hard again and act like glue.

You can make your own cake release:

1 part each: Crisco, vegetable oil and flour

If your cake still sticks (using fluted, or fancy pans)
sprinkle bread crumbs (unseasoned of course) over pan grease and the cake will come right out.
