My First Customer Loved Her Cakes!!! I'm So Happy!

I came in to work tonight and the nurse that I baked the 2 Chocolate Cakes for was here. I was so afraid that she was going to tell me that she didn't like the cakes or that she was simply going to be nice and say that she liked them. However, as soon as she saw me she just kept raving about how sinfully good the cakes were and how they simply demolished them!! She said it just melted in her mouth and that she could stay away from eating it!!! I know that we shouldn't feel proud but I have to say I felt really good knowing that she was satisfied with a cake that I baked and decorated for her

Congratulations!!! Isn't it exciting to get great feedback. I love it. I made quite a few cakes and took them to work before I started getting orders and now I am just being bombarded, so watch out!!
I had 3 orders for this weekend and they are all large cakes. Today is decorating day and I'll be glad when it's all done, I'm exhausted.

Its such a good feeling isn't it? I had a neighbor of mine call and request a train cake for her sons bday. I thought it was just ok, she only wanted it to be red and yellow and no candy or chocolate or cookies on it. Everything on this cake had to be done in icing, no royal either. It was quite a challenge to make it unique just using red and yellow icing. I was so afraid it would taste like red food coloring too. 
I didn't hear ANYTHING from her, good or bad and was so on end over this cake. I finally let it go and figured it probably wasn't what she was expecting.
On valentine's day I got a call, it was her! She wanted to order a special cake from me. SHe raved about the train and how she and her family and friends loved it and how it was the hit of the party!! Sometimes you just never know. you naturally expect the worst but in the end you'll find, if its a good tasting cake and you did your best, more often than not, it was a hit!!!
