Hello again

I've been asked to make a small cake (to serve 12-15 people) to celebrate a boy's birthday, a girl's birthday, and an engagement!!!

I am trying to think of ways to divide a not-too-big cake into 3 distinct sections, or at least find a way to make each person feel that there is something on the cake special for them!

I was trying to figure out if there is a way I can make the cake 3 flavors--maybe in rings, or in sections...and then come up with decorating ideas too.

HELP!!!!

Hope this makes sense, I would make a round cake. Look at the to of cake a divided in thirds. Use fondant to lay the lay the lines down from top to and down the side of cake, in the center of the lines you a beautiful bow.

on the sides of the cake in each section you do something for that person celebration dark blue and yellows ballon for the boy, pink and purple flowers for the girl and doves for the engaegment. for the couple write one name upbove the doves and one under or do a double heart.

for the kids you can write happy bday ... for each.

hope this makes sense, I would do a 10 inch it may serve more but you can work more with it.

This is what I would do...I would make a small stacked cake..maybe 6,5,4 or 6,4,2...depending on what size pans you have...then decorate each layer to match each celebration.

My other idea would be to make a sheet cake and put three different pictures that would go with each celebration. You could do transfers or edible images if you have the eqipment.

Multiple themes can be so tricky! Good luck! icon_biggrin.gif

You're right that it's hard to do three pictures on a small cake. If you're not too elaborate, it can be done. I've done many two-event cakes which are easy enough, but here was a four-event cake I did. Small and simple pictures depicting some kind of interest of the person for whom it is.
