Black Frosting?

Is there any way that I can decorate a cake in black and not have it dye everyones mouth black?

Start with chocolate icing therefore you won't need as much black I haven't tried it yet but I think even with that you can't avoid it but you can get an answer so maybe it helps me too

I second that motion! That's the only way to do black and still have it taste good. Making chocolate icing first makes it taste yummy and also uses a lot less icing color. Saves time and prevents Black Tongue Syndrome!
