Bc Dream - Yellow Or White?

I am going to use Buttercream Dream to frost the cake for the first time tomorrow. What I wanted to find out before I make it is what color will it be white or yellow because of the butter? TIA!

I only made it once and if I remember correctly, it was very white. If it's not as white as you'd like, just add a VERY small amount of violet. Violet cancels out yellow. icon_smile.gif

I use BC Dream and it does have a pale yellow tint to it. I second the small amount of violet. It works wonders for me!! Good luck and have fun! icon_smile.gif

Just did the same thing last week for first time. Made the buttercream dream and added just a tinge of violet and it was a really pretty snowy white. thumbs_up.gif

You can see from the last cake I made what the color of the icing is. I do not use the violet or the clear vanilla extract. I use a brown colored vanilla. I like the taste better.

I have used the violet before & it does work thumbs_up.gif

Thank you, everyone for your responses. I'm making it now, just waiting for the butter to melt a little. I don't have violet gel color, I wonder if a little bit of red and blue will do the same trick. I will try. icon_smile.gif

lemme know how it turns out...my BF makes me get 2 new colors every time i go to the store...haha...but if i run out would love to know if it works...

Ok, I made BC Dream today. It was very delicious, probably my favorite one. It was a bit yellowish though. I added a tiny bit of red and blue gel colors (I didn't have violet) and it turned whiter. Thank you all for your kind responses. icon_smile.gif
