You can sign up for the mailing list, but I should warn you - they do not always provide coupons with their e-mails or their newspaper flyers.

at my michaels my manager told me to tell our coustomers about courdicy coupons. Just ask for one and all you do is sign your name and they give you the 40% off one item. If you just ask for a coupon they wont have one to give because we only get a couple flyers a week now. So just ask if they give you a complementry 40% off.
See, now our Michaels does accept the Internet coupons from other vendors, as long as it is for a product line they also sell, i.e. Wilton products, polymer clay, beads.
I will write to Michaels and ask what the company policy is. I will let you all know if I get a response.

I can't get the internet coupons from the web site?!?!? Where do you find them?
You're always so inquisitive Theresa! Thanks for the plathora of official information you provide us! ![]()
Do you guys know how often Michaels coupons are going to come out now? I thought it was once every three weeks, but I haven't gotten one in a month and a half now. ![]()
The only site that I know of that offers coupons right on the website is Hobby Lobby.
For Joann Fabrics, AC Moore, and Michaels, you have to sign up for their e-mail newsletter. If you have a Hobby Lobby near you, you should sign up for their e-newsletter, also, as it has been mentioned here in the past that they sometimes have specials for list members only.

How often can you do it? Once a week?
I love Hobby Lobby for the fact that they do email the coupon.
I have written and received responses from michael's. For several years the coupon arrived on my doorstep on Sunday. Then that disappeared. Then for several months the coupon was not even available in my local paper which is quite large. In any case, they are in no way sympathetic and started quoting me the cost of publishing coupons and placing them in 185 papers across the country etc..
So good luck in finding coupons for Michael's. If they accept the competitors emailed coupon then print one off from Hobby Lobby and bring it into Michael'
s. They can only make money if you are shopping there.
Good luck
I belong to the Rag Shop's email for coupons. I simply print the coupon and bring it to the local Michael's and they always take it - I love the 30% off your total purchase for all the little cookie cutters and stuff!
Also the nice thing is that you can print multiple copies, my Michaels will let you use 2 a day - sometimes I find that I am going back 3 or 4 times a week!
There is a website called www.couponseven.com. It has links to hundreds of websites, and always has Joann coupons. If you were planning on buying your supplies online you could try there...
I get Michael's coupons every other week in the Sunday paper. I don't get them in the mail. I signed up on their website, but have never recieved coupons that way. This past Sunday there was no coupon, so this weekend I should get one. Jo Ann's coupons I very rarely get.
According to company policy that I've been shown as an employee, Michaels doesn't accept online coupons at all. Nor do they accept any coupons that is not a coupon that they offer. They will accept 40% off coupons from other stores, but not the tiered dollar ones (although they do have the Turkey Bucks...doesn't make sense to me either).
Framing is the same way, with the framers not being allowed to accept coupon's for Joann's 40% - 50% - 60% (tiered order) framing sale as the highest Michaels gives off is 50% (the computer won't allow any higher of a discount).
Michaels has an ad at least every two weeks, which always has had a coupon in it.
Jayerk,
I am not doubting what you have been taught at work, but I can tell you that, in my area, except at Christmas season, we rarely get Michaels coupons published or e-mailed to us more than once per month.

Theresa, I know that we get our ads in our papers sporadically but do know there's typically a sale going on biweekly except from Thanksgiving to Christmas when it's every week (I don't think they'd do it solely in framing?) Unless it's a regional thing (Western NY).
Like I said, I do not doubt what transpires, or the rules they give you to follow at your area store.
I sent an E-mail to Michaels the same day that I mentioned contacting them. The response I received yesterday was a generic form letter about competitors coupons, nothing specific about whether competitor's e-mail coupons are accepted.
My best guess now is that it is at the discretion of the store manager as to whether they are accepted or not.

I agree with playingwithsugar that it's up to the store manager because the Michael's here won't accept competitors coupons. And for that reason I don't shop at Michaels unless I have their coupon. I can print Hobby Lobby coupons online and don't have to bother with the newspaper.
