I did a test run of freezing some leftover cake. Not frosted, just cake. I thawed it out today and the strawberry tastes great, the white and marble are still good, but not quite as moist as I would like. Can I use a simple syrup to moisten them up a little? Do I put the syrup on right before icing, or can I put it on there now to see if it does the trick, and ice them tomorrow?

TIA,
Suz

I put mine on a few minutes before I frost them. I am not sure how far in advance you can put it on but I wouldn't do it myself.
