Since we only have one store (Michaels) that sells Wilton supplies I am searching online for supplies. The Wilton site only ships to the US but sent me to another site in Canada called Golda's Kitchen. They do have Wilton supplies but some of their tips are made by Ateco and I was wondering what the difference, if any, there was? When looking for tips are all tips numbered the same? i.e. a wilton rose tip # whatever is the same as a Ateco rose tip #?
And I found rice paper here at the local grocery store!!!! They will sell me an 8.5 X 11 sheet for $6.00 which is pretty pricey....but at least it is available here.
I got a practice cake made today and will attempt to decorate it tonight or tomorrow after work. I bought all (except merinque powder) ingrediants today to make butter cream frosting, candy clay and rolled fondant to play with.
At least the cake didn't stick to the pan icon_smile.gif So far ...so good!!!
Thanks for any help you can offer.

most of the ateco branded tips I have look exactly the same as the Wilton tips. I don't have every tip, and I'm not looking at mine right now, to know if they are the same numbers, but they do just the same.

Ateco's are just as good, but they don't correspond at every number.

Here are pics of all the Ateco tips. I think there's a chart of Wilton tips somewhere here on CC.

Taigen,

I`m in Nova Scotia and buy my Wilton supplies at The Bulk Barn.
They have a good variety of cake decorating goodies. Do you have one near you?

Mindy
