My DD friend wanted a small/mini cake for a gift. Originally I had said no as I didn't think it was really worth my time and effort to make just one. Well as it turned out I had some cake mix left over when I made my wedding cake so I baked and froze a small mud cake for her. After prodding her for the cake details (it was like pulling a tooth!) All she could come up with was "he is 18, his names Dale maybe something bright and maybe add a bottle of beer!!!

Well this is what I came up with.......very bright and funky, I even managed the beer and put one on the cake.

It looks like its covered in Playdoh....

Su7ch a great cake. I find boys cakes are harder than cakes for girls.

ANd for KarenOR, the drinking age in Australia is 18, hence the beer. hahaha. It can get really confusing between countries.

That turned out great!!! I love the colours.
At first I thought you might be somewhere in Canada, a few places there have a drinking age of 18 but it's mostly 19.

Woweee!! What a great cake! Perfect for an 18-year old boy (though he'd have to be 21 in the US for the bottle of beer! icon_lol.gificon_lol.gif )! I love the colors! icon_smile.gifthumbs_up.gif
