Ok, its 1am, I am no where near tired, and I am bored stiff. Its times like this where I wish I qualified to be a gallery supporter, that way I could be somewhat productive. I think the worst thing is trying to be quiet so I don't wake DH, but I am so bored out of my mind!!! Anyone else up at this hour??? What do you do to kill time? I wish CC had a chat room, that way we could all keep each other company! I just wish I was even a little tired, ya know?

lol - Oh yeah.....me too. I sit here watching tv and playing on the computer. The real reason is if we are so bored icon_razz.gif why aren't we making fondant flowers, etc? No way....my butt is stuck to this couch....typing but doing nothing productive.............. icon_cry.gif

I'm up too, not an insomniac, just sleep deprived (I only sleep in hour and a half or two hour segments) so here I am most of the time.

Like you said, I could be learning flowers or something creative and/or constructive, but CC is more fun.

Sorry you guys are lacking sleep too! Misery loves company, I've found to be true.

I used to work 3rd shift right out of high school and ever since I have had the hardest time keeping on a normal schedule. Mind you, this was 7 years ago, but its still very hard. I have even developed a light sensitivity. My family jokes around and calls me the "little vampire" because I'm ghostly pale (being irish) and the sun is SO my enemy!!! I wish I could be baking and making flowers, but I don't want to wake my husband up. We just moved to this small apartment while we are in limbo house hunting, so I have decided not to bother unpacking the majority of our stuff, which has left our livingroom doubling as our bedroom until we close on a house. Thank god for cake central or I would be going nuts right now!!! I think a shopping trip is in order tonight, maybe I'll pick up some more luster dusts.... thumbs_up.gif

*edit* when did I get upgraded to junior member??? I am so ruining my lurker status!

I am such a night owl. I am never tired at night, and always tired during the day. I don't know why I am on such an opposite schedule. I've always been this way. icon_cry.gificon_cry.gif

Well, here I am again. It's almost midnight, and I am still sitting at the computer. DH is still out with his buddies so he hasn't bugged me about looking at my cake porn today. icon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

I am such a coward, it 's after 3 am and I am sleepy and tired but I am awake because it's a thunderstorm out there and there has been a tornado watch and I am so afraid of tornadoes. I know, it's childish. Like me sitting here and looking out the window is going to stop it if it's going to happen, but I still can't make myself go to bed. icon_sad.gif

445 here, still awake. I've been laying down on and off since 11pm, and can't fall asleep. My best time to sleep is 4-10am usually, or 1-6pm if I didn't sleep in the morning.

I'm one. It's the on and off again kind. I went to bed last night at midnight and was still up a few hours after that. I'm so use to being up till around 3 am that I can hardly sleep anymore. Both sides of my family have insomnia problem though.

For the record, I didn't/couldn't sleep until around 3pm today. Got back up at 5pm. Here it is 1230am, I've had 2 hours sleep since I got up at 6am Tuesday, and I'm tired but not sleepy. But, I WANT to sleep, so I'm bored instead of starting anything productive.

I'm still up too. I usually stay up till about 1-1:30 and then get up at 6:30 in the morning to get the kid ready for school. I have been on this schedule since I had my 2nd DD and it's been almost 3 years now. I know I should try to get to bed sooner, but it's so hard to change a schedule like this.

TylenolPM does help, with little to no side effects. But, it's not very strong, so only really helps if you are already tired.

they were specifically talking about the stuff you get from the doc's like ambien, and its a rare side effect, but i am one of those people who get wicked sick from the flu shot and get bad cases of chicken pox from the vaccine... i speak from experience unfortunately, and i wouldnt want to risk serious side effects. I use sominex sometimes, but one benedryl tablet knocks me out for a good 10+ hours. If I am in desparate need of sleep, I'll stick with that route. I kind of like staying up at night though. They play unedited stuff on comedy central after midnight icon_lol.gif I just wish there was a good chat room for cake people. Yahoo chat is crazy, I havent been on it in years... anyone have any ideas?

My normal drop-off-to-sleep time is around 2:00 a.m. Not sure if it's insomnia or I'm just a night person ( NOT a morning person!). I have had bouts of true insomnia, though. My record is something like 42 hours straight with no sleep. If you figure 8 hours a night x 7 nights, then we should get 56 hours sleep. I've gone some weeks with just 20-25 hours.

Then my 14 year old comes in here tonight and tells me that people who don't get enough sleep are on the path to obesity. The reason is your body isn't getting enough sleep, ergo not building new energy, so we eat more to get more calories to burn for energy. Except we don't burn it .... we couch-potato it!

No matter what I do, it's the reason I'm fat, so I might as well do what I enjoy! icon_razz.gif
