Has anyone tried this recipe from the Cake Bible? I have a request for an almond flavored cake and thought about trying it?
Any other suggestions for an almond flavored scratch cake? I made WASC and it was pretty good, but too sweet for me when bc was added. I wanted to try a scratch recipe as I usually prefer it.[/i]

Have you tried the Almond pound cake from the CMD? I make it all the time. It's.. DH golden butter recipe...8 oz. of cream cheese... 1/2 cup sugar... 1/2 cup milk...1/4 cup canola oil and 1/4 cup butter....4 eggs...teaspoon of almond flavor and teaspoon of vanilla. I made changes by using milk instead of water and 1/4 cup of butter instead of all oil. ENJOY!
