Hello, I'm new to the forum & complete amazed at everyone's talent.
Cake decorating has always been a hobby for me & I am halfway through my first Wilton Course. I really wanted to start a cake business and after some prodding (and poking) from friends & family, I have a an opportunity that I can't pass up.
A local gelato store/cafe has offered me use of their certified kitchen for free as long as I sell them cakes at cost to serve to their customers. So here's what I need advice on:
I do not have a huge amount of supplies & tools. What do you recommend that I need in order to get on my feet? How many different size pans etc.. do you think I should get.
Any other hints/tips would be great.
Thank you all
When I started out I made purchases as needed. If you are baking round cakes you would probably want enough of your most used size to fill your oven maybe twice so you could put in a second batch immediately.
I had like 10 each of my favorite tips.

I agree with MPC, buy your pans as needed, because they are expensive, and they take up a lot of space to store! I have 2 each of all my round pans and square pans. My most often used round pans are probably my:
6"
8"
9"
10"
12"
14"
Tips are relatively inexpensive, so I'd stock up on a nice selection of round, star, leaf and petal tips.
