Another Cupcake Cake Question...

Hi! I'm sorry if this question has been asked, but I couldn't find it anywhere. When making a cupcake cake....do you only ice the top? Is there anything on the sides where the cupcakes in their liners are showing or do you just leave that? ![]()
Yes, you just ice the tops. I have found that if you use crusting buttercream; it is better to put sort of a crumb coat on them, let it dry and then ice. This helps the icing to not sink as bad. You can look in my photos I have several cupcake cakes there.
Good luck,
Thank you so much for replying! I appreciate it! I'm making my first one this weekend, so let's hope it turns out. Thanks again!
