I know this has probably been asked 100 times over but I'm in a big hurry and thought someone might be willing to answer my question.
I have read a lot about cake mix extender recipes and thought I saw somewhere that instead of the basic recipe on this sight they just add buttermilk instead of water? I want something simple for a strawberry mix that reads "pudding in the mix" I have some buttermilk that needs to be used and wondered if this would be ok. Also if I do this would I still add the oil? Thanks for helping! icon_redface.gif

Yes, I've heard about the adding of the buttermilk too. What does the original recipe call for (i.e. milk?).

It calls for water, oil and eggs. I have never tried anything but the exact directions on the box. Its for my parents anniversary, I guess I can't mess it up to bad?

Thanks!!!

No problem. And you were planning on subbing the water for buttermilk? That would be fine.
