Does anyone have a good recipe for baking a 12 inch chocolate chip cookie? I was volunteered to make these, but have never done before, and would appreciate any assistance I can get...HELP! Need by Wednesday night.

I would be interested in this, too. I have tried the one on Wilton's website, it's okay but it doesn't taste really well the next day.

TIA

How long do you bake it for Melonie1005? I just made the Wilton recipe last night and I believe I baked it at 350 for 20 minutes or so.

ok please don't throw marshmallows at me.... I just made 2 last night and used the bucket of Choc chip cookie dough from Sam's! They were sooo good! You use 2 cups of the dough and bake at 350 for 10 min or so. The bucket cost $4.50 and I made 3 -12 inch cookies and 3 doz regular cookies.

Here's the recipe!
HERSHEY'S CLASSIC MILK CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES
1 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup light brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
2-1/4 cups all purpose flour
1tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1-11.5oz bag of choc chips
1 cup nuts optional

Heat oven to 375. Beat butter, sugars, and vanilla in mixer until creamy. Add eggs, beat well. Stir together flour, baking soda and salt. Gradually add to butter mixture, beating until blended. Stir in Chocolate chips and nuts. Put in ungreased pan( I line mine with parchment paper) bake for 10-15 mins or until light brown. This makes 1 large cookie and 1 dozen regular cookies.

Hope this helps! icon_biggrin.gif

I use to make my own dough. But now, i cheat. i go to walmart and get the larger size pillsbury dough. Everyone raves and it's exactly enough for the cookie pan and you can get sugar cookie, chocolate chip or whatever you want. definately no fuss
