Heating Core Advice

hey can i us the the flower nail as a heating core for a 12x18 sheet cake.please tell me how to place them in the bottom of the pan and how many do i need. Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've put the flower nail in the pan after I've sprayed with Baker's Joy, before I added the cake mix, and I've also added it after I added the mix (I do this a lot because I forget to do it first! icon_redface.gif lol) and it works fine both ways.

Definitely coat the flower nail with Pam (or grease/flour) and insert so that the flat part is sitting in the pan. One flower nail should be sufficient but it wouldn't hurt to use two of them!
