Need Help In Black/white Anniversary Cake

Help! I have been hired to do a anniversary cake in black and white. The client has requested a two tier cake with black roses with lace. Has anybody done anything like this? I looked in the galleries for some inspiration, but I guess the black roses throw me.

I found this in the gallery...it was done by Peggy. Its polka dot not lace, but it has black roses...I thought it might help

This first cake is done by fancycakesbylauren.com
The second one is by cakewhole.com.au
They don't use black roses- but the colour scheme is similar.
