Do you need to buy a special airbrush made for food coloring, or can you just buy a regular one?

I believe that there are some airbrushes (used for painting models) that use an air canister and are not food safe. I don't know much about them as I only use an airbrush specifially for food.

From what I understand, you can use any kind of compressor airbrush system as long as it is used only for your food coloring. It is not safe to use an airbrush once paint has been through it. I've also heard that there is some sort of system that uses canned compressed air, but I don't know if those have been deemed safe.
