OK friends heres the situation. I live in North Carolina and I have an opportunity to do a local bridal show at our mall. It would be the first one I have ever done and Im not sure of the legalities. We are moving to a new house THIS WEEKEND!!! and the department of Ag has not come out yet to ok me to sell cakes. Would it be ok to advertise as long as I was licensed before I actually did the cake. I have to give out samples obviously. Is it legal to give out samples if you are not licensed yet??? HELP THE SHOW IS IN 2 WEEKS AND I HAVE TO LET HER KNOW SOMETHING BY TOMMOROW MORNING. Any input is greatly appreciated.
Check with Ag Dept and explain your dilemna. . . go with their answer.

Where are you in NC? I'm interested in the Bridal Show.
Thanx!
Leslie
I live in Burlington. About 40 minutes from you. Its a small show though. Its at our local mall. Colonial Mall.
Have you heard from the Inspector yet? Pls keep us posted and good luck!
Leslie
Yes, I talked to them yesterday and they were sooooooooo nice. They said that it would be no problem as long as it was a one time thing and I was planning on being inspected pretty soon. And I am. So Im still discussing the details to see if I have enough time to do a really professional display. This is a really small town and I dont want to ruin my reputation by doing a half a## job before I even get my feet off of the ground. If anyone else reading this lives in this area, they are desperate for wedding cake vendors. You can email me if you are interested [email protected].
