Hi everyone. Should these be rolled out to 1/8 inch? I recently bought the small rolling pin with the guides from Wilton. The one you use to roll out fondant. I was wondering if this is the thickness, so I can use the fondant rolling pin to roll out the cookies.

Thanks,
Naty

Are you just making cookies or putting sticks in for bouquets? I personally make mine 3/8" thick, the thickness of a CD case, but the general consensus on CC seems to be 1/4" or thick enough so your stick is embedded. You could make them whatever thickness you want though, no hard and fast rules.

I roll all my cookies, bouquet or not, to 1/4". I just like that thickness best. But Michelle is right...it's a personal preference thing.

Cookies for favors 1/4", for bouquets 3/8". And I use a dowel rod to measure the thickness.

My family likes them about 1/2 inch - REALLY thick!

But then again, my family is weird...

I like them that thick too! It's more like a dessert than a cookie, like a big slice of cake! Yum!
