Congratulations and keep up the good work - it does get easier the longer you go. I smoked for over 30 years and have been smoke free for 4 years now.
It really is true when they say take it one day at a time and one craving at a time. Just remember if you get a craving go do something and it will pass.
You're doing great ![]()
Hi everyone, thanks for all your encouragement, I really do look forward to checking in. Sweet_story, to funny I really got a good laugh, and know just how dear old dad felt. I said I would celebrate so we decided to go out to dinner. We went to a family favorite, mexican resturant, this place is hugh, but we always sat in the small bar area as it was smoking. Anyway when we walked in, there where people waiting to be seated, and we were told it would be at least 20 mins. for non smoking, mind you as I stood there looking at, at least 20 empty tables in non smoking section(they must have been seriously under staffed or we could be seated right away in the bar section. Needless to say it was nice getting our old table, the food tasted so good, and my pomegranate margarita was yummy even without a cig. Kind of funny though I dont think anyone seating in the smoking section was actually smoking. I do know I wont be one of those former smokers who preach and complain at everyone. Well have a great day and a wonderful week everyone!!!!!!!!
That's a funny story! I'm glad that you were able to sit in the smoking section without being tempted to light up! ![]()
